Javazon Build Guide -D2R 2.4
Guide for the strongest amazon build in Diablo 2 and Diablo 2 resurrected
Build Introduction
The Lightning Fury Amazon (Javazon) is the most efficient PvM character in Diablo 2 and D2 resurrected with the highest amount of area damage amongst any character. A high level Lightning Fury skill is capable of discharging up to 50 bolts, each of them being able to one-hit almost any normal monster in the game. In addition, it has one of the highest single target damage by using the skill Charged Strike, allowing you to kill any endgame Boss within seconds. The build has decent survivability, and can also be very effective at hardcore.

Gameplay
Attacking skills: Use Lightning Fury as your primary attacking skill against mobs to deal a huge amount of area damage, and Charged Strike against single targets. Both skills deal lightning damage, and there are many lightning immune monsters in the game. The best way to remove monster immunities is by having an Infinity runeword on your merc with Conviction aura that will remove monster immunities, however Infinity is very expensive. Other options are to have your party members kill lightning immunes, have your mercenary kill them, or to use a secondary skill that deals non-lightning damage (For example Plague Javelin).
Movement: Properly geared Javazons are typically amongst the fastest running speed characters in the game. Having a high % of increased run/walk speed on your gear will help your movement speed and allow you to clear any area very quickly. An option to increase your running speed is to use Harmony runeword as your secondary weapon, or have an Act1 mercenary that wears it. Harmony grants you level 10 Vigor Aura, which boosts your movement speed immensely, and can be very useful if your aim is to farm Bosses.
Survivability: Even in budget setup your survivability will be decent due to the passive and magic skills that allow you to dodge and avoid most attacks. Wearing a shield and having high enough dexterity further allows you to block 75% of the attacks against your character. Having 75% all resistances on Hell difficulty is necessary to have good survivability against elemental damage dealing monsters.
Using Call to Arms runeword to cast Battle Orders gives a great boost to your life. In addition, having % physical damage reduction, additional life, increased maximum resistances, elemental damage absorption, faster hit recovery, faster block rate, higher defense, % bonus to defense, or cannot be frozen stats on your items can further increase your survivability chances. By wearing gear with a good combination of the above mentioned stats, you will be able to safely play in Hardcore.
Have a Valkyrie casted at all times so enemy monsters attack her instead of you.
Party and Solo play: Except for Uber Tristram, with an Infinity runeword on your merc you will be able to quickly solo the entire game. In parties you will be very appreciated, as you will be the one dealing the most area damage and getting rid of most monsters.
Magic Find: The build can be decent at magic find, but your damage output will decrease significantly in MF gear. Still, with % magic find on your charms and sufficient gearing your character can be very efficient at MFing.
Stats
Strength: Put just enough points on it to be able to wear your items.
Dexterity: Put just enough points on it to be able to wear your gear, or if your survivability is not good enough put enough points on it to have 75% chance to block with a shield.
Vitality: Put all your available points on it.
Energy: Don’t put any points on it

Items, Gearing
The listed items are organized by slots.
The usefulness rating of an item is based on how good it is for farming.
The price rating reflects the cost of the item (cheaper ones are available after ladder starts as budget options), higher price ratings reflect exponentially higher cost for an item.
Magic Find ratings are added to items that are good options for MFing.
Adding sockets and improving your items
If you complete the act5 quest Siege on Harrogath, Larzuk will grant extra socket/sockets to your items. Use the quest to add sockets to your gear and put useful jewels, runes or gems in your item sockets.
You can also upgrade your unique items from normal to exceptional quality and from exceptional to elite by using Horadric Cube recipes. After upgrading, your armor pieces will have more defense, and your weapon pieces will have more damage. The downside of upgrading is the increased strength/dexterity requirements.
To increase your lightning damage, put +5/-5 Lightning Rainbow Facets in your item sockets.

Mercenary
Have a Nightmare Act2 Defensive Mercenary to provide you with Holy Freeze aura to slower enemies and be able to kill them before they get to you, or a Normal or Hell Act2 Combat Mercenary to provide you Prayer aura and heal you and your party members.
Ethereal items don’t lose durability if your mercenary wears them, so having ethereal item bases for each gear slot is preferred due to their increased defense on armor items and increased damage on weapons. In many instances ethereal items that are great for mercenaries will be much more expensive than non-ethereal ones.
